About

Professional-

I am an experienced, skilled, and honest attorney (formerly with a downtown firm).

For years I had worked in several areas: criminal defense work, governmental and administrative affairs, and politics (non-partisan).  While I still do some of this work, it soon became clear through the lives of so many of my hard-working clients, that their problems ultimately grew into issues with some agency that oversees their profession or small business, and they needed help.

So many professions and industries are regulated by the State of California that I ended up working more than I had ever envisioned in dealing with various agencies in California (Insurance, Alcohol Beverage Control, State Bar of California, Stewards of The California Horse Racing Board, etc.).  I decided to focus my practice more on client needs as they face issues or discipline in their work, and help them whether by litigating at administrative hearings or assist in responding with letters or whatever is needed in their efforts to earn a living in the face of ever-present agency oversight.

I continue to study volumes published by the California Continuing Education of the Bar in Professional Licensing (and related fields) and I treat each client with personal attention to their particular situation.

I have represented prominent citizens in San Diego, including several other attorneys in town who were facing various issues. I view these as the highest compliments of my professional life.

I am very proud of the work I have done for many clients.  Please see the "Testimonials" (for lack of a better term) on this site.

Please call me if you need help (858) 812-2943.

You will not be disappointed in your legal representation.

Personal-

I am from The City of San Diego and I feel a very strong connection to the area and my home communities of University City (where I grew up and still sponsor a Little League Baseball team) and Encinitas, where I reside.  I love the Chargers, the Del Mar Racetrack, and fishing the local coastline.

My grandfather was one of the last physicians to make house calls as a part of his regular practice and I continue to sometimes make house or office calls in my law practice because at times more personal contact with my client’s lives contributes to understanding of their situation and can lead to a more effective attorney-client relationship.
